Body of Raizal NGOs
A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) is a private organization, generally defined as a nonprofit entity independent of governmental influences. that is formed by one or more individuals, by their own initiative, and that has a social or humanitarian objective. NGOs are usually opened to receive new associates.
The Raizal NGOs play a very important role in the integral development, welfare, conservation and protection of the Raizal People, its territory, human rights, and collective interests in general.
NGO roles: humanitarian work, economic development, education, public health, environment, social development, agriculture, literacy, anti-corruption, disaster relief, war relief / conflict resolution, rehabilitation, human rights, peace, community empowerment, conservation, land rights, information freedom, microfinance, lobbying, consultation.
The Body of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) is the union of all types of raizal NGOs. This Body of NGOs is to become the Consultative Body of Raizal NGOs, which is part of the original design of Indigenous National Raizal Authority - INRA (2012).
(The Indigenous National Raizal Authority (INRA) is the initiative of self-government, for a wide participatory and democratic space for the governance of the Raizal Territory by the Raizal People self. INRA is designed in a way that seeks to give participation to all sectors of civil society in the process of governance and decision making (this include the Body of NGOs)

to share information with the NGOs about opportunities of grants, financial and technical supports offered by governmental entities (local, national and international), as well as by the private sector, and local, national, international and multinational NGOs.
to share information with the NGOs about the opportunities of participation in the mechanisms of protection, promotion and enjoyment of human rights, managed by the Office of the United Nations and its various bodies, and the Organization of American States and its bodies, like the Interamerican Commission of Human Rights.
to offer a platform where the NGOs can support, collaborate and cooperate amongst themselves.
to agree on ways to organize and structure the Body of NGOs and build its capacity to serve as a consultative body that should assess the Raizal Council and other bodies of the Raizal Authority, in their planning, governance and decision-making activities.
to support the Indigenous National Raizal Authority (INRA) in its mission, and the constititution and development of its bodies.
